When the next two consecutive smacks landed across my already stinging buttocks, a high-pitched wail escaped my parched throat.

 “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!"

"Yes, I’m sure you are,” he said, lifting my bum to stretch the crease that joined my tush and thigh together. But as my husband’s short sentence ended, his resolute palm made a solid landing onto my delicate skin, and then he administered the same stern discipline to the other side of my hot little behind.

Swerving my neck, I stared up at him hoping he’d melt.  

“Nope. The sad beagle eye routine isn’t going to work this time. So, turn right back around, bad girl. Have you been warned not to stick your nose into other people’s business?”

 

Surely, his question was meant to be rhetorical, so I remained silent.

 

“Well, my intention is to put an end to your disobedience once and for all.” His determined hand continued to rise and fall steadily as it moved from one wobbly cheek to another, and all that could be heard in the room was a combination of adamant pleading and the sound of his palm crashing against my supple skin. Naturally, I bucked and wiggled my stinging ass trying to escape, but his six-foot, three-inch, two-hundred-twenty-five-pound physique wasn’t allowing me too much freedom of movement.
