And here is another teaser!
Hearing the distinct sound of the door opening, I turned to watch him exit the bathroom. My husband was wearing a loose-fitting pair of navy sweatpants, and he was toweling his short dark hair dry while walking across the bedroom. “Come sit on the bed with me, Mari. We need to talk.”
Casually bending over to pick up my panties, I recognized a familiar growl coming from his throat. “Leave them right where they are.”
“You’re such an impatient man,” I said, stepping out of my bikini panties before kicking them aside. “I’m coming, Danny, I’m coming.”
The soft patchwork quilt was usually comfortable, but not on that day. My bottom was still hot and tender from the thorough spanking I’d received. And then the corners of his mouth lifted as he pulled me close to his warm body. “Still sore, eh? Maybe I ought to have a peek.”
“Please don’t do that. You know I hate when you examine my spanked bottom.”
“For God’s sake, calm down and behave. I want to make sure your heinie isn’t bruised.”
“I already checked while you were in the shower and it looks fine, thank you very much.”
As Danny’s head angled toward mine, his lips formed a resolute line. “Roll over.”
Now for the Blurb:
Marigold Wasserman is a well-known baker in Jacksonville, Florida, and she’s been successful selling her goods at the local farmers market for years. Working closely with customers and side by side with other merchants has enabled her to not only make a variety of acquaintances, but also innocently poke her nose into other people’s lives. Though she’s received numerous warnings from her sexy husband, Mari’s defiant personality shines through as she decides to help her new market friend hunt for the family she never knew.
Marigold spent most of her early years hoping and praying she’d someday marry a man just like Danny. But the successful doctor she married is not only handsome and intelligent, he’s also a spanker.
Maybe she should’ve been a bit more careful wording her prayers.

Oh dear, she better listen. If there wasn't bruising yet, it may be coming!

DeleteThey get so bossy sometimes. Sigh. Makes for fascinating reading, however. Great snippet, Shelly.
