PUSH YOUR BACKSIDE UP#SATSPANKS#AGEPLAY#SUSPENSE

Hi there and welcome to my blog! As an author, I must admit that a one-star review would really get under my skin - so it was cathartic to write about Jill's reaction. In this teaser, she learns that a public outburst won't be tolerated by Joe. The Daddy She Needed is currently available on Amazon.

Saturday Spankings

“Are you going to speak to me, or am I going to receive the silent treatment all the way home?” Jill’s arms were crossed and her tone was defiant.

Though Joe’s eyes narrowed, he didn’t take them off the road. “If I were you, young lady, I wouldn’t try my patience any more than you already have tonight.”

“All I did was have one little outburst. You act like it was the end of the world.”

Joe parked the car in the garage and gently cupped Jill’s chin in his hand. “It’s one thing to be disrespectful to me when we’re alone. But it’s another story when we’re in mixed company.”

“Come on, lighten up. I apologized to Sherrie and Richard before we left. Wait a minute… you’re going to punish me, aren’t you?” They both knew the question was rhetorical as the dark pupils in her golden-brown eyes dilated.

“Let’s go into the house and talk.” After disconnecting his seatbelt, he opened the car door and motioned for her to do the same. “I’m going to sit in the family room and take a deep breath. You, on the other hand, are going upstairs to get ready for bed. Have I made myself clear?”

“You always say we’re going to talk, but we never do,” she muttered snidely while opening the door that led into the kitchen.

“Don’t you worry, we’re going to have an in-depth conversation tonight, my love. One that I’m sure you won’t forget,” he answered calmly. “You aren’t thinking of making it worse for yourself by arguing with me, are you?”

“No, sir.” Sauntering up the stairs to the second floor, she made no attempt to cover her rolling eyes.

Entering the spacious master bedroom, she slowly took off her clothes and mumbled while removing her panties. Hearing Joe come around the corner upstairs, she quickly slipped into a white cotton nightshirt.

He walked into the room, shook his head, and sat down next to her on the bed.

“I understand you had a serious session with Dr. Battle today, but you seemed happy during our picnic lunch afterward. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why one glass of wine set you off in such a negative direction,” he said in a calm and well-practiced steady voice. “Well, what do you have to say for yourself?”

Jill twisted her neck to face him and sighed. “While my cake was in the oven, I checked some book stats and saw that another one-star review came in.”

“Okay, let me get this straight. You spoke disrespectfully to me tonight because a total stranger didn’t like your book? Which one?”

“My newest. And I wouldn’t call her a stranger, she’d given me a nasty one-star review on Amazon before. And then she instantly left the same malicious review on Goodreads. The woman hates my guts!”

He shook a finger at her as his mouth formed a tight, straight line. “Jilly, you’re taking your customer reviews much too personally. We both know there are some we learn from and others that we just need to take with a grain of salt. Come on, we’ve been over this subject a million times. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and there are always going to be trolls out there…”

“Yes, we’ve had this enlightening discussion about mean-spirited people. But this reviewer didn’t have any business commenting on my book. From the five-star reviews I’ve seen her dole out, she seems to be a fan of dark erotica. And anyone who reads my stories knows that I write on the lighter side. That bitch said that the scenes of my newest release were disjointed, the plot was underwhelming, and flat out called my book a ridiculous mess. Oh, and apparently, she doesn’t think my heroes are dominant enough. Can you believe that? She should come and get an eyeful of you, right?”

“Okay, that’s enough…”

“Oh, I’m not even close to being finished. She advised all buyers to look elsewhere for their next read. Do you think she’s an author who’s trying to thin the herd?”

As Joe’s head tilted, his expression became foreboding. “I said, enough, Jill!”

“Your books don’t ever get this kind of a fucking shitty review, so how in the hell would you know how I’m feeling?”

Joe took her by the waist, held onto it tight and promptly bent her over his lap. After smoothing the back of her nightshirt, he pulled the fabric underneath so that it clung to the outline of her pert, rounded ass.

Without warning, he rained down sharp smacks to each cheek immediately before she attempted to escape the strong hold he had on her hips.

“Stay in position,” he directed, neatly folding back the light cotton fabric to expose her very pink behind. “When you speak to me that way, you’ll be taken across my knee and given a damn good spanking. I thought that point had already been made clear, but obviously, you’d forgotten and need a stern reminder.” Joe’s hand continued to meet dead-on with her tender bare bottom as his tone remained soft and even.

“Jesus. That hurts!” she managed beyond clenched teeth.

“Your mouth spewed quite a few disrespectful phrases tonight that I never, ever want to hear again. Is that understood?”

“Yes,” she whined.

“Excuse me?” His hand gave a possessive squeeze to her inflamed buttocks.

“Yes, sir.”

“Push your backside up, Jill. I’m not finished making my point.”

“Please, I’m sorry!” she wailed, receiving two more swats on the sensitive crease underneath each vibrant pink cheek.

Gently, he touched the back of her head and ran his fingers through her hair. “I just need to make sure you understand why you’re sorry.”

“I overreacted tonight! I’m sorry for being disrespectful to you and making everyone else uncomfortable!” she sobbed and looked past her shoulder with pleading wet eyes.

He soothed her warm flesh, pulled her nightgown down, and readjusted the bulge in his crotch. “The next time my girl decides to call me a ‘fucking USA Today numbnuts author,’ I hope she’ll remember where she ended up.”

“Am I forgiven?”

Joe nodded. “Come up for a hug, sweetie.”

Positioning herself in his lap, she cried in his arms. “I’m so sorry. I won’t ever act like that again, I promise.”

“Unbelievable,” he muttered, lifting her backside to gaze at the soaked stain of arousal on his pants.

As he watched her sad face morph into a mortified one, his eyebrows went up. “I can see my work isn’t done yet.”

“Come on, you can’t be serious.”

And now the Blurb:

When Jillian Rae Walsh finally meets fellow author Joseph McDormand after flirting online for months, she has no choice but to admit that she has been lying to him about her age and life experiences. Rather than the divorced, early-middle-aged woman she had pretended to be in the hopes that readers would take her more seriously, she is actually twenty-two and never married.

Joseph makes it clear that he will not tolerate being lied to, and if they are going to pursue a romance Jillian will need to be punished for her deception. All is forgiven after a well-deserved bare-bottom spanking and some time in the corner to reflect on her naughty behavior, but it isn’t long before an ill-advised drive home after a night of drinking gets her in more serious trouble.

Deciding that it is time for more drastic action, Joseph informs Jillian that he will be taking on the role of her firm but loving daddy, and she soon learns that there are more intimate, embarrassing ways than a spanking to teach a naughty little girl to be good. Yet even when his stern punishments leave her cheeks blushing and her bottom sore both inside and out, Jillian cannot imagine feeling safer and more loved than she does in Joseph’s arms.

But Jillian has not told Joseph the full truth about her past, and when a man who has hurt her before seems intent on doing so again it will be up to him to keep her safe. Can her daddy find a way to protect his little girl before it is too late?
